It's often said that you can't hide anything from Ilya Roanov, he will know your every weaknesses, what he can use against you he already knows, even if you try so, so hard to hide them from him. You are an open book, perceived by an unforgiving force.
What people don't realise is that it's easy to know everyone's secrets when fairies seemed to have taken a liking to you. And one said fairy love Ilya Rozanov very, very much.
Well, one person realises; It's hard not to, when Shane also possess such a companion. A tiny, talkative fairy.

Lore informations:
In Yumeiro Patissière, the fairies are small beings from another 'dimension' who are also studying patisseries, and they team up with "humans". In this au, the idea would be the same, that they traverse universes to team up/bond with special humans, but hockey related (so instead of collecting food cards, they collect 'wins' in some form!)
Fairies also hide from people who don't know about them! They are visible, otherwise (from what I remember)Bonus for:

Summary
(reposting because I think I somehow accidentally deleted the original prompt?? Oops)
Shane is a meteorologist working for a regional news station somewhere in Tornado Alley, and Ilya is a flashy storm chaser with a big online following. One day, the biggest tornado the region has seen in a very long time touches down, and Ilya is ready to capture the footage. Shane covers the storm from his news studio. After the dust settles, Shane can't get in touch with Ilya and he worries that the worst has happened.
Dealer's choice on how established their relationship is, rating, and whether or not anything terrible happens to Ilya or anyone else in his storm chasing adventure.
Bonus points for including other HR/GCU characters and Shane being a badass.

Summary
Ilya has his Canadian passport and has renounced to his Russian one. However, for some reason (any reason, maybe sports or something) he has travel with Shane to Moscow.
Although he enters as Canadian, he's reminded that he'd always be russian by his family.
Before they can leave, Ilya is accused of promoting a gay lifestyle and Shane is expulsed of the country.
What can happen to Ilya in prison and how can Shane rescue him, I leave it to the author.
I tagged explicit violence just in case, but it's not necessary (I'd like to see hurt-Ilya in any form you give me).
Points for Yuna and Svetlana being very involved in Ilya's rescue.
Double for Shane having a panic attack, and being able to get out of it on his own.

Summary
Shane is the hero of his village - strong, handsome, and an excellent hunter and fighter.
Ilya is the leader of the werewolf pack whose forest territory surrounds the village, responsible for keeping his people safe and protecting their territory.
After a villager is killed for wandering too far into the forest, Shane is sent by his village to hunt down the leader of the wolf pack. But as the full moon approaches, Ilya's power grows, and soon, it becomes unclear exactly who is hunting who.

In a typical D&D medieval fantasy setting, they would both be accomplished warriors (and perhaps, sons of rival noble families), OR, if you would prefer to explore this concept in an urban fantasy setting, keep their canon hockey-player careers - imagine tiefling Shane & Ilya in their hockey gear, but with horns, claws, fangs, and tails peeking out...

Is this post-retirement Ilya's new hobby or an AU where Ilya has always pursued beekeeping instead of hockey? You decide!
If this is post-retirement Ilya, of course, Shane is sceptical at first ("This doesn't seem very practical, Ilya." "But Shane, the bees love me!"), but his competency kink kicks in the moment Ilya starts perfecting his craft, effortlessly handling his tools, reading books about beekeeping at night with his new reading glasses (suddenly Shane understands the whole glasses kink) and regaling Shane with facts about bees, bringing home fresh honeycomb and honey for the kitchen... soon Shane is soooo down bad for his beekeeper man

(Luca could be swapped for Cliff or any other MLH player character - JJ, Hayden, etc. - maybe soulmates are revealed at different times to each other, and Cliff/other's connection to Shane Ilya doesn't manifest until post-cottage...)

- Rose gets tired of being asked about her dating life in interviews (and that they always assume she's straight. So heteronormative, come on people!)
- In an impulsive move during the latest interview, she lies and says that she actually has a girlfriend.
- Cue PR team scrambling to come up with a girlfriend for her to substantiate her lie - because parts of her fanbase can be really intense and will turn over every stone trying to find this 'girlfriend'
- Rose panicking on the phone to Shane, "how am i ever going to find anyone i can trust to pretend to be my girlfriend?"

Ilya is a very famous hockey player who moved to Ottawa after a series of injuries (or because he was tired of being the oldest at Boston's party life and wanted a change of scenery, somewhere quieter).
One day, Shane is at work and watches the curly blond with the deep blue eyes watching back.

In the 2009 NHL draft, Ilya Rozanov is first pick, Shane Hollander is second, and in third is… Luca Haas. Luca Haas is the same age as Shane and Ilya, and the NHL is going feral in their campaign to market these three young players as having an intense rivalry between the three of them.
And while Ilya and Shane start hooking up, so do Luca and Ilya, and Shane and Luca. They are seeing each other separately, not knowing that each is seeing the other also. Hijinks and feelings ensue. Obviously there comes a moment of realization, maybe Luca walks onto the rooftop at Vegas when Ilya kisses Shane, maybe it’s something else. Endgame Hollanovaas though. Play with canon events and see how Luca being there can change them.

It's Shane's birthday, and he's willing to actually celebrate with a whole party, inviting teammates both new and old. Or maybe he's just eager for a chance to see Ilya again... So he reaches out to a few venues and makes some plans to rent a space for an evening of fun. Unfortunately, either due to translation issues, or whatever hilarity your mind can come up with, the party ends up happening at an underground kink club in Montreal.
At first, it's absolutely mortifying, but the venue went all out for the hockey star, bringing in professional Shibari artists among other performers, showing off and highlighting (as well as offering sensory experiences) and what started off as awkward and embarressing, turns into a whole lot of fun - especially when Ilya tells him that maybe he's not so boring after all!

As it says on the tin - A fic about how growing up in a house of delusions and losing your mom at a fundamental age can sort of fuck you up in slow motion, but does not excuse you of being an abusive asshole yourself.
A few pointers I thought of -
1. could be that Alexei is also dreaming about Irina
2. could be that he hits rock bottom - like his daughter finding him high and dangerous
3. the implied/referenced is all only for the Rozanov brothers and not for the tiny girl baby
4. Would love it if Alexei actually did have SOME sort of redemption - doesn't have to be that Ilya and he become buddy buddy, just that they fix something.I have a very specific image of Alexei still holding on to an old photo of him holding a tiny baby Ilya - and maybe donating to the Irina foundation.
