SLOW SLOW BURN. slow af.
Keith realizes the summer before freshman year of college that he's trans, what follows is probably one of the most difficult things he's ever had to do: getting better.This is sort of a self-indulgent story and I suck at summaries. But to put it bluntly, Keith has "some walls up" and goes to college where he learns that it's actually okay and pretty cool to love yourself and others.

“We’ve met,” Lance said politely.
Shiro looked at him in surprise.
Keith nodded towards Lance. “This is Pool Guy.”
Shiro’s eyebrows rose in realization as he looked between the two of them. Keith glared daggers at Lance as Lance tried to look as innocent and sweet as possible.
Shiro snorted.
“God, this is going to be a good summer.”When Lance caught a glimpse of his new neighbor’s brother visibly flinching away from the sun, he thought it was a little funny. When he realized that prickly egomaniac thought the entirety of summer was overrated, he decided that someone had to do something. Someone is him. It’s Lance inserting himself into another person’s business. Again. Maybe this time it won’t blow up in his face.
Alternatively, the author of Silver Bells has returned with another collaborative fic! Lance is determined to show Keith that summer is not as awful as he thinks. Through activities and adventures of your choosing, he may just prove Keith wrong. And maybe they will fall a little bit in love along the way.

“The integrity of the wormhole has been compromised,” Coran yelled. “We’re breaking down!”

And in some kind of ironic and twisted way, they ended up back in the Garrison.
Lance had put his mind onto graduating, getting his degree and following the path of becoming a serious professor, putting use of his past war trauma and experience to help forming generations preventing past mistakes and failures, maintaining the galactic peace they had lost so much for, fought so much for.
That's how they ended up as being 'just' some generic teachers at the most serious military school in America.Lance and Keith, teachers at the Garrison, are trying their best to teach their students, gaining their degrees and working on building a steady life. But right now, Keith is getting sick and is denying any type of rest and instead keeps on pushing through.

Summary
Lance, as a meteorologist who has been damned by modern job application screening processes, has found himself working in central Texas at the first news station that hired him. He had anticipated that he would work there for a while, apply for jobs somewhere a little more desirable, and then eventually move. His plan, however, was not coming to fruition. He also hadn't anticipated the local city's obsession with Keith Kogane- a storm chaser who apparently knew more about the weather than Lance ever could. Publicly ostracised for failing to predict tornadoes (which couldn't be predicted anyway, they were spontaneous, Lance has had this conversation before), Lance has developed a strange obsession with Keith, who didn't know who he was.
Lance learns the hard way, however, that tornadoes are not the only thing he can't predict.

If anyone had told Lance that at nineteen, he’d be forced to make the difficult decision to give up going to college in favor of working three jobs to financially support his family, he wouldn’t have believed them in a million years. Even if they’d tried to tell him six months ago, the response would have remained the same. Independence was something he’d clawed out for himself as an omega in an alpha’s world; the second he’d been old enough to get a job to pay for his own things, he’d leapt at the chance, buying his first cell phone and paying for a plan out of his own pocket. The other part of it was an effort to lighten the financial load on his mother; being a single omega mother to three children wasn’t easy, which was a huge reason he was doing what he was.
