It was unnerving to lose time like this, falling asleep and waking up and seeing its bride get locked in a dark room, never to see the light of day, hear the sound of a human's voice, and then before it could even comprehend what that meant, it was out, in the Pit, beating men twice its size to kneeling, covered in blood and tissue, but even that was only a passing moment.
