Stray jumped from the building and landed in a roll the way Catwoman had taught him before bounding back up to his feet and running. He heard Robin cursing behind him and let out a laugh, loud on purpose.
“Give it back, Stray!” Robin shouted as he chased Stray over the rooftops.
“Finder’s keepers!” Stray called over his shoulder, still laughing.
“Pickpocketing is not finder’s keepers!” Robin argued.
Stray jumped up on top of an AC unit and twisted to face Robin, holding his hands up. Robin stopped unexpectedly, his balance teetering for a second before he looked up at Stray, scowling. Stray raised his prize, something he’d nicked from Robin’s pocket without really looking at it first. He’d just taken it to annoy the other boy, wanting his attention more than anything. He squinted, staring at it. “Oh my god,” Stray said laughing as he flipped open the first page of the book. “It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.” Tim stared, dumbfounded as he giggled a little. “What is this?”Written For JayTim Week 2026, Day 5: Theft, Heist, Different Mentors AU

El interior de la Iglesia estaba en ruinas.
Los vitrales destrozados dejaban pasar la luz de la luna, proyectando sombras sobre los bancos rotos y el altar cubierto de polvo. El olor a sangre era fresco, mezclado con el perfume característico de Jason. Un aroma a tormenta, pólvora y algo… indescriptiblemente dulce.
Tim se movió con sigilo, sus sentidos expandidos al máximo. Sabía que Jason estaba cerca. Podía sentirlo en el aire, en el latido acelerado de su propio corazón inmortal.
—Sal, sal, dondequiera que estés —llamó, su voz un eco aterrador e inhumano.
Una risa ronca respondió desde el altar. Jason estaba recostado contra la piedra, su postura descuidada. Su cabello oscuro caía sobre sus ojos, un corte fresco en su mejilla brillaba, y su sonrisa era todo dientes.
—Timmy. Siempre tan puntual… ¿No puedes estar lejos de mí, verdad?

Se quitó el impermeable con un gesto brusco y lo arrojó al suelo. No servía de nada.
Y entonces, Jason salió del almacén. Por la puerta lateral, caminando. Como si hubiera estado esperando el momento exacto para aparecer y ver a Tim de pie, empapado, con el uniforme pegado a su cuerpo.
Jason se detuvo en seco.
Tim vio cómo su cabeza se inclinaba lentamente, cómo sus hombros se tensaban. No podía ver su cara a través del casco, pero -otra vez- podía sentir la mirada. Era más intensa que noches antes. Más pesada, más... hambrienta. Era como si Jason estuviera devorando cada centímetro de su cuerpo mojado con los ojos, memorizando la forma en que la tela se adhería a sus pectorales, al arco de sus caderas. Se apresuró a llegar a su lado, manteniéndose erguido y casi amenazante.
—Tim —dijo Jason, y su voz era un susurro grave que vibraba en el aire húmedo.
—¿Qué?

En consecuencia, Jason irrumpe en su apartamento, preguntando qué clase de broma está tratando de hacer, y descubre a Tim al borde del colapso. Tim lo trata como si estuviera alucinando, así que depende de Jason el cómo resulten las cosas.
