Maybe it’s because he’s only 10 and he doesn’t understand adult brains. And why don’t his classmates question it? Is he missing something? They all just accept that this is the way things work. The sky is blue, the grass is green, boys and girls should be separated during PE and field trips—no room for argument.
Maybe, definitely, he’s overthinking this.
