There once were two women. One could become rose petals, wield a sniper rifle scythe and could wipe out Grimm armies with one look. You could recognise her through her black, red-tipped hair swaying in the wind like a hero picked from a storybook and her defining silver eyes. And next to her, you had the second woman. She manipulated elements like the gods of old and was unfazed by time, as she controlled it. She wielded a dual katana as her primary weapon. You could recognise her by her cat ears and her black-and-blue hair. Both were seen as heroes, gods even, but that won't be for a while yet.
This is the story of Ruby Rose and Zaphyra Chikage and how they became legends.

Ruby sleeps through the Grimm attack that would have inspired her love of the scythe, instead she dreams deep and conceives an idea most ingenious.
The roars of the creatures Grimm send her spiraling into a nightmare filling her mind with images of a tar covered beast unlike any Grimm ever seen. Luckily her mind provides a hero to defend her as her once silver eyes now glimmer like sapphires.
Waking up none, the wiser Ruby has a weapon in mind and a new understanding of what it means to hunt.

Weiss dreams of a pile of bodies, all with her face, she is trying to find why she keeps dreaming those horrible dreams for as long as she can remember. Blake seeks vengeance for what was taken from her, finding herself as a student of Beacon in order to find who killed the White Fang cell she was a part of. Yang is looking for her sister, who was taken away from her family when she was a baby never to be seen again, only for blood and the scent of death to greet her and her mother that day.
Four girls, all with their own baggage, end up at Beacon and on the same team, and things are sure to be eventful.
