I took a seat in the pilot chair and let my feet sit over the pedals in the floor. The second I did, the Core’s hatch closed. There's three pedals per foot: forward, backward, and brake. I held the left foot brake and tapped the right foot back twice. The little strips of light that guided me in, now all went dark and the dashboard lit up on the other side of the cockpit. With the sound of mechanical motion, the split dash moved up to the pilot chair and locked together over my legs, becoming one unit.
At the same time, I learned why there were no harnesses. Across my suit appeared two belt straps going down my torso, a belt around my waist and a belt around both thighs. Each extended out from the suit and connected to the pilot chair. I looked over the dashboard and saw that nearly everything was what I was used to in a NuMech Core. There was only one addition. On the dashboard there was an extra gauge labeled ‘AI Link’.

However, this project became too large to get done before October arrived, so I decided to put off on releasing it until I had more time to write it to the standard I wanted; but what I did put out in October is a non-chronological, dot-point plan of this story with almost all of the references to the overarching story removed) -
