Summary
Every night, when Naruto's clock stops ticking, Sasuke stands from his futon and travels through Naruto's small apartment, until he can find his friend. He will then sit in his lap, with his head in the crook of the blond's neck, and he will stay there for one hour and one hour only. Feeling Naruto's pulse against his skin, but not being able to see Naruto himself. Or hear him. Or even offer his thanks for letting him be this close to the person whose life was nearly taken by his own hands.

But a typical routine patrol in another continent would bring catastrophic obstacles upon four individuals, where a standard investigation in New Zealand of a pursuit turned into a nightmare, discovering an anthropomorphic society before their eyes on accident.
Sooner or later, the solutions for their problems must be discovered before an underlying issue makes each day worse for everyone than it already is.

“I’m Frank—Frank Nazar from McCarthy Associates. You must be Connor Bedard, right?” Buh-dard. An anglophonic attempt of his last name. Bey-dard. He reminds himself not to correct Frank.
