Chapter Text
The athletes ruled the halls, the rich kids ruled the parties, and the queer girls?
They ruled Megan Skiendiel.
Not officially, obviously but everyone knew.
Megan had a reputation. Pretty face, prettier smirk, messy black hair that always looked like she'd just gotten out of someone's bed. She kissed girls in bathroom stalls, behind the gym, at parties, sometimes just because she was bored.
And girls let her.
Some chased her— some hated her. Most wanted her.
Megan liked it that way. Untouchable. Unbothered. Dangerous.
At least, until Jeung Yoonchae started looking at her like she was something disgusting stuck under her shoe.
That pissed Megan off.
Badly.
The classroom buzzed with lazy afternoon energy, teachers talking over students who clearly didn't care, chairs scraping against the floor.
Megan sat at the back like always, legs spread lazily under the desk, twirling her pen between her fingers.
Her attention wasn't on the lesson— It was on her, three rows ahead.
Yoonchae; perfect posture. Perfect hair. Perfect grades. Perfect bitch.
Megan had seen her around. Everyone had.
Yoonchae was the kind of girl who acted like she was above everyone. Especially Megan. And right now? She was staring. Not just staring— looking at Megan with straight-up disgust like Megan existing offended her.
Megan caught it immediately.
Her mouth twitched. 'Oh. So that's how it is?'
Megan leaned back in her chair, lifted one brow and winked.
Yoonchae's whole face twisted like Megan had physically assaulted her. She snapped her head forward so fast Megan almost laughed.
'Cute.'
The bell rang.
Chairs screeched. Everyone started pouring out.
Megan stood, throwing her bag over one shoulder, weaving through the crowd until she caught up. "Got a problem?" Megan asked casually.
Yoonchae stopped and turned. Her eyes dragged over Megan like she hated every inch of her. "You're disgusting."
Megan smiled. "That's not a problem. That's an opinion."
Yoonchae scoffed. "I don't get why girls fall for your whole act."
Megan stepped closer. "What act?"
Yoonchae's jaw tightened. "The desperate lesbian thing."
There it was.
Megan laughed not because it was funny. Because it was pathetic. "Damn," Megan said, shaking her head. "That's the best you got?"
Yoonchae glared. "Stay away from me."
Megan tilted her head, amused. "Or what?"
Yoonchae rolled her eyes and pushed past her.
Megan watched her walk away. Annoyed and interested— dangerous combination.

Later that day, Megan found her people outside the senior building, sitting on the concrete ledge near the parking lot.
Manon was smoking, Lara was scrolling on her phone while Daniela and Sophia were arguing over something stupid.
Normal.
Megan dropped beside them. "There's this girl," she said.
Sophia looked up immediately. "That sentence never ends well."
Megan smirked. "Yoonchae."
Daniela whistled. "The homophobic one?"
"The very one," Megan muttered.
Manon laughed. "What happened?"
Megan explained.
Lara winced. "Okay, yeah. She sounds annoying."
"She is."
Sophia looked at Megan carefully. "You're weirdly bothered."
Megan frowned. "I'm not bothered."
"You are," Daniela said.
Megan leaned back. For a second, she watched Yoonchae crossing the far courtyard through the fence.
Cold. Untouchable like she hated Megan for breathing and then Megan said it. "Do you think she hates me because she wants me?"
Sophia burst out laughing. "You're actually insane."
Manon shook her head. "Not everything is sexual tension."
Megan smirked but the idea was already in her head. And once Megan got an idea— it usually ended badly for someone.
She looked back at them. "Two months."
Lara blinked. "Two months what?"
Megan's smile turned sharp. "Bet you in two months she'll be naked in my bed."
Silence.
Then— "What the hell?" Sophia laughed.
"You are not normal," Daniela said.
Manon stared at her. "Yoonchae? That girl literally hates you."
Megan shrugged. "That's what makes it fun."
Sophia folded her arms. "Oh you're serious."
"Dead serious." Megan pulled out a twenty, holding it up. "Twenty each."
Lara laughed. "And if you lose?"
Megan smirked. "I pay all of you."
Manon looked at the others.
Sophia shook her head, grinning. "This is a terrible idea."
Daniela held out her hand. "I'm in."
Across the courtyard, Yoonchae disappeared through the school doors. Completely unaware.
Megan watched her go, a slow grin spreading across her face.
'Game on.'
