The man has long, dark hair that frames his face with a half-tied-up bun peeking out from the top of his head. He’s sitting awkwardly with his hands behind his back and knees up in front of him, as though he’s slowly trying to crawl away. If he stood up, Koutarou would guess that he was at least as tall as him, if not more. His eyes are a soft contrast to the facial hair stubble on his chin.
“Oh, hi.” Koutarou manages to get out as he stares at the pretty man in front of him.
He reaches a hand out to help him up before realizing that although he doesn’t know how the whole... ghost thing works — if that’s what he is — the man probably wouldn’t be able to hold it. His face flushes, and he retracts it awkwardly, instead deciding to sit on the floor in front of the spirit.
or: bokuto inherits a house and asahi just so happens to be the ghost haunting it. fluffy shenanigans ensue.

"And then they fell in love," the older man repeated fondly. "They had found each other in suffering and became stronger together, which was what the gods had intended with their gift all this time. The union of their kingdoms through marriage is how Karasuno came to be."
"And now we're celebrating five hundred years of the kingdom tomorrow," Kuroo whoops and pumps his fist into the air. He was already thinking about all the game tents and food stands he was going to visit.
Kuroo meets the crown prince of Karasuno at the quincentennial of the kingdom's creation, and his life is changed forever.

He watches the ink dance—back and forth like tidal waves, loose and relaxed in its movements. With his soulmark being on his wrist, it’s always easy to spot, and Koushi has never bothered hiding it. But this is the first time he’s actively watched it change.
By the end of the transformation, Koushi has an ocean’s wave mixing with his crescent moon, hanging stars and wispy clouds hovering above the surface. He whips his head back, a name on the tip of his tongue, but he finds that Oikawa is already gone.

Although Kei understood what the man said, he wasn't ready to have a full conversation in French right away. Also, he wasn’t expecting someone as hot as this to speak to him, like ever. He tried to answer in French nonetheless.
“Oui, je suis nouveau. Je parle japonais.”
Kei winced at the sound of his voice in a foreign language, and also the man had asked him if he was Japanese, not if he spoke it.
To Kei's relief the man spoke in Japanese next.
“Awesome! We heard fresh meat was arriving soon! I’m Bokuto Koutarou!”
