Your pulse thrums under your skin as you look at him. His lips are slick with spit and bruised from your teeth. Your lips sting from him, you’re surprised he hasn’t drawn blood yet. ‘Yet’ might be the key word here if the way he’s looking at you means anything.
His pupils are blown wide, a look in his usually blank eyes so disconcerting that a flash of nervousness bursts under your skin before it tangles with the heat low in your stomach. Lohen looks excited in the breathless way you’ve seen him one other time after he had come back to the city with blood on his sleeves. He had shrugged your questions off then.
Lohen has that same look in his eyes now, his smile a little too wide to be comforting. This is why you don’t like him. He’s weird. You don’t think you’ve ever wanted anyone more.

As the fire continues to ravage throughout the kingdom that you once called home, you stayed where you were, in your bed chambers looking out of the window as you heard screams of upper class from your kingdom.
You made sure all the lower class of the village were evacuated and are on their way to neighboring towns a hour before the fire started, although it pains you to see your kindgom to burn into nothingness it had to be done. Your mother was a corrupt woman during her reign over the kingdom paying her friends with money that was taxed out of the poor working class, making sure that the rich don't get taxed and instead get more richer with each passing day.

You hear the blip of water as the coin lands and sinks to the bottom to join the rest of the mora there. Maybe the anemo archon will do a better job at figuring out what you’re trying for.
You open your eyes slowly. The wind is still gentle, tangling in your hair and sliding over your skin. If you had the time, you would just stand here for a while. The weather is nice, the fountain sounds pretty, and the morning is always calm.
“What are we wishing for, hm?” A voice far too close for comfort says by your ear. You startle with a sharp inhale, spinning around.
It brings you face to face with the worst man in the world. Your chest does something funny.
