“Ow!” Jaskier protested, grabbing his arm in the exact same spot.
“Tel-e-mpathy,” Yennefer said with deliberate slowness as Jaskier and Geralt looked at each other with dawning horror.

His face crinkles into that familiar warm grin. It had been hesitant, when he’d first gotten to Kaer Morhen. It’s sure again, now. “To what do I owe this late-night visit? Is there a quest that needs doing in the morning? A rescue, a hunt? Something exciting I can tag along and weave a tale of—Geralt?”
“I love you.”
Jaskier drops his lute.

It wasn’t as though Jaskier was unfamiliar with Geralt’s smiles, but they tended to be brief and reactive—often at Jaskier’s own expense—and not indicative of an overall mood. Nevertheless, he seemed… pleased, perhaps too pleased. It was a little concerning.

It was unsettling to find himself soothed by the lordling's soft voice. To find that he didn't mind the boy scooting away from the fire and closer to him.
It was entirely inappropriate to let the little viscount sneak underneath Geralt's heavy cloak and snuggle up against his side.
