This is really cool! Thanks for the hard work and the insight, and good luck with your job! At the place I vollunteer we have a huge backlog of zines and magazines of local underground activist and squatting movements, dating back to the 80s and 70s. Its so cool but also a nightmare to house and catalogue (if we even have the volunteers to do anything) I can't imagine the labour of seeing a whole archive moved and taken care of !

Whoa, that's ALSO really cool! Obviously, Open Doors works with just fanzines, but zines as a whole are super neat since they document cultures like the squatting movement (which I'm going to read about on Wikipedia asap) that might not be preserved otherwise. And yes, there is a lot of physical labor that goes into archiving non-digital materials and shifting the existing collection to make room for the new additions. I'm grateful that our archiving projects in Open Doors aren't nearly so intensive!
