I would actually argue this invention ceased to be the most useless thing I ever encountered in my months with the new republic. It's comically large, frustrating to open, and unappealing to look at.

The governments of the world decided to make a school for people with special powers, and automatically sent all the supreme commanders kids there. Each chapter is a different story, so I might come back and add more. The school layout is kinda based off of the school in X-men, so if you’ve watched it kinda imagine that a little bit.
