Being an omega was a pain. Robbie was honestly pretty fucking tired of it.
He had been warned most of his life, ever since he presented, of omega traffickers — people who would kidnap omegas and sell them into a life of sexual slavery — but he had never really considered that they could be an actual threat in his life. He had grown up a relatively cushy and coddled life. He had lived in a bubble, being from a safe, progressive city, in which omegas were rarely at any more risk in daily life as a beta or even an alpha. He had faced a few minor instances of discrimination, sure. He had been presumed weaker than others in some situations, or been talked over in others, and his parents had been a bit confused when he said he never intended to bear pups and would rather be a chemist, and it was annoying as hell. But nothing like the kinds of things he had heard omegas faced in more rural, conservative areas. He counted himself lucky, even if he knew it would have been easier to be born another subgender. Sometimes he resented being an omega. Usually it was fine.
Right now, he was fucking livid with this fact.

Scar felt his heart stop in his chest. It was impossible. There was no way there was another human on the ship. It had to be a trick of some kind, a robot made to look human, or a statue, or something. This was some sort of experiment, a test to see how he would react to seeing something that looked like his own species.

And I don't even think I explained why, even. Well, simply put, Caine got deleted, in-canon... but here he didn't. He got _almost_ deleted. Files that are partially deleted... they're just corrupt, are they not? So, yeah. I also kinda wanted to emphasize how that changes not only him, but everyone else. Because no character is coming out unscathed. Like... NO one. Everything changes. Everything corrupts. :P
