But then, their quest to find Archangel — help him, smoke him out if necessary — showed him that there was a commando streak to Shepard that gave him a new appreciation for her infamous skills. Zaeed exchanged a glance with Jacob, then, during that hail of bullets from all sides, and it seems they came to an understanding then and there.
That understanding forged in fire, here he is, then: still hanging around with the other two to see what's the word on Archangel after he got nearly shot to hell by that gunship. And he's more than half impressed when Garrus turns up walking under his own steam.
