Walker’s neck flushed a deep, boiling red. It took every ounce of his restraint to remain silent, refusing to give them the satisfaction of his rage. Olivia used to jibe him about his penchant for shiny things, blaming their failing marriage on his obsession with medals. That was all. Maybe it was better they thought it was a kink; the truth felt much more pathetic.
