Summary
”Hey Timon, Pumbaa?” You asked, staring up at the sky. Your small body blends in with the tall grass as Timon turns his head back to look at you. Pumbaa turns his head back occasionally as you come across a resting spot. Apart from the leopard incident earlier, you managed to get further than the last few days.
“Do you think my parents are out there looking for me?” The question is sudden, but it was also laced with pure curiosity and hope. “I mean, I am their only cub.”
Timon takes a pause, a really long pause before he looks at Pumbaa. It was hard to really say that your parents would come back, nor would it be ideal to keep a promise that most likely wouldn’t come fulfilled. They saw their fair share of lions, and the reign of their prides, but never had they experienced taking in a cub before.
“Uh….” Timon trails off, uncertain where to even start. Pumbaa clears his throat and gives you a big ol’ grin as you curl up on the ground.
“Sure they will! You know being separated from your family isn’t going to last forever.” Pumbaa reassures you. However, even he knew that his words carried some form of truth.
