Black masses seemed to circle them like vultures just under the floor, shapes crashing and grinding against each other in a chaotic battle of some kind. No sound penetrated through the ground, despite the disorder beneath them. The only sounds audible to even Keith’s enhanced hearing were the sounds of breathing, dull thuds of heartbeats and intermittent lightning strikes.
“It feels like… like these are the souls that Honerva has defeated— and corrupted! It’s terrible…” Allura spoke first, breaking the silence held between them in a shaky whisper.
