From his left, Draco heard Blaise’s breath hitch and he knew immediately that he must have seen Hermione. Draco turned his head and found his witch, fuck no longer his witch, across the room with her back to him. Her beautiful chocolate curls cascaded down her back in loose ringlets. Time stopped though when Hermione turned and again, Draco felt as if all the air left his lungs.
