Summary
There was something frantic in his tone, something Luffy couldn’t quite catch or understand but that was still there nonetheless. The questions came one after the other, spoken so quickly neither of the men truly had time to catch their breath. It was only when Luffy’s brain caught up with the sight in front of him that his gaze changed, another question blossoming at the tip of his tongue, a question wrapped in thorns. Law sensed the question before Luffy ever said out loud, but prepared himself anyways. It was only in the last question that the tone shifted, something terrible settling in Luffy’s face, something dark and dangerous.
“Who did this to you?”

‘There’s a warrant out for your arrest, I thought I should warn you to leave UA before the heroes realized you were there.’ Robin answered, one second too late.
Law sighed, “It’s a little late for that, but thank you for the consideration.” he then turned towards the figures at the door, “Am I gonna need a lawyer?”
Nezu looked grave, “I'm afraid so, Dr. Trafalgar.”

Summary
It was fitting that Vegapunk's lab was on Punk Hazard. It felt like the beginning of the end at last: Cora-san's life had been taken in the frozen North, and if Law succeeded then Doflamingo's death would come from events birthed in the same hostile snows. It had an almost dream like symmetry.
Dressrosa itself was a nightmare of chaos in turn, every plan turning awry... yet not to Doflamingo's tune either. Strawhat made as much sense as a dream, one frustrating and baffling and uplifting beyond belief. And you couldn't have both a nightmare and a dream together.
It's the aftermath now, nothing but healing and waiting can be done until they reach Zou. In light of that, Law finds Luffy's chaos continues as much as always, albeit with another unexpected turn.

The boy turned to look at him, gaze furious peeking through sweaty matted hair that fell over his eyes and it was only then that Doflamingo noticed their color. Red, a brown-red so familiar he almost lost hold of his strings.
The same shape, the same colour, the same anger in them when something went wrong.
That single moment of distraction was enough for the pup to break free. To go back to running for his brother, running for that damned scaffold protected by three admirals and people much stronger than him. Crying out his brother's name as if it was the only truth he knew in this world and without him everything would come crumbling to dust.
Doflamingo knew the feeling.
A decade away in an island of snow and Rosinante's corpse cooling at his feet, Vergo grinning in pride.
He couldn't let the kid go. Not when those eyes were so familiar, when that gaze could be a mirror of his baby brother's. Not when it was possible...
Rocinante drunk on his liquor in Spider Miles, weeping for a child he had lost. Doflamingo thought the child to be dead and yet what if he had simply been left behind.

"They caught Luffy."
The words echo in Ace's head like a mantra, inescapable and horrifying. Three words that are worse than anything Impel Down had thrown at him so far, worse than the jeers and the torture, worse than the seastone exhaustion and the knowledge of his impending death.
Gramps says the words with a finality that tells Ace he is not going to do anything, that he's not even going to try and help Lu' even if he is the baby of the family, even if he doesn't deserve this - even if he wasn't born with cursed blood in his veins.
He wants to rage, wants to pull on the shackles until there's nothing left, shatter them into smithereens - he can't, his haki never got good enough to do more than the most basic protection, Marco had been right he had been relying on his devil fruit -
In Sabaody, Kuma is too slow to send Luffy away as well and the Strawhat Captain is slated for execution alongside Firefist Ace when news of his parentage breaks out. Unfortunately for the World Government, they had failed to take into consideration exactly who would be willing to raise hell in order to save his life.
