Summary
Takes place between chapters 4 & 5 of "Incident Reports" the first fic of this series but it can be read independently.
When magic itself had gone absolutely haywire, and former champions(?) of magic had been appearing and disappearing on the watch tower, they hadn't expected this also to be how to learned about the enigmatic Captain Marvels past and the just how deep the cost a miracle is. Magic always has a price.

Summary
When (which, for some reason, the JLD won't answer) magic itself had gone absolutely haywire, and former champions of magic had been appearing and disappearing on the watch tower. (This was a major event later referred to in reports as The Halo Chronicles.) Every available member turned up to try to weasel more information about what it meant to be a champion of magic. They just hadn't expected this also to be a way to find out about Marvel himself.

Erid had lost hope of the crew they sent to space ever returning. And then they spot a different ship coming towards them and a pebble talking to them over the radio about how they and Rocky found the solution to the star-killer problem. Chaos, of course, ensues.
Aka. The Eridians assume Grace is a pebble.

Summary
The arrival at Erid is a momentous occasion. Rocky is excited and thrilled. Ryland is overwhelmed. But the reunion is happy, beautiful, amazing.
Or that's what it should have been. Except Rocky gets hurt, Ryland is left to try and communicate with an alien planet, and everyone is scrambling to figure out how to do this. To Grace, this is incredible but also bittersweet - he got Rocky home safely with the taumoeba, now he just gets... to starve. To Erid, this is insane - how did Rocky show up in an alien spaceship with a child???
...
Ryland Grace is stuck trying to speak Eridian, immediately makes himself sound like a child, and Rocky's world and family scramble to help this strange pebble. Misunderstandings galore, alongside hurt/comfort and angst and fluff.
