Martyn leant back on his arms, kicking his feet through the water as he watched his partner swimming deep below him. It was a rest day on the Limited Life server, and a hot one too. Some people were using today to gear up, but they were in a time of yellow peace and Martyn was planning to make the most of this time to actually relax. You could be geared to the teeth but it wasn’t going to do you any good if you were burnt out and swaying on your feet with exhaustion.
“What’re you thinking about?” Scott asked, popping up in the water just in front of him. His teeth were visibly sharper, just one of the many changes Martyn had noticed since the man’s name had turned to yellow. It had only been a day, he was still getting used to the new changes, and Martyn was doing his best to not get any ideas from looking too long at Scott’s gills.
