Summary
Kanzaburo was famous, or rather infamous, for being slower than most crows due to his age, yet he was very eager. One day he was particularly fast to send Tomioka Giyuu, the Water Hashira onto a mission.
The mission was located at Mount Kumotori at a small village; allegedly lots of people have been going missing near that area. Perhaps it'd be a Lower Moon. No big deal for a Hashira like Tomioka, even if he was the worst one of all of them.
Now something that was a challenge, even for the best of Hashira, was facing the demon king himself all alone.

Summary
Tanjiro somehow persuaded Giyuu to accompany him to the nearby village to get some medical supplies for Shinobu. On the way there, they are attacked by a demon with scarlet eyes. Giyuu is done with people protecting him, and he’ll do anything to make sure that Tanjiro stays out of harms way– even at the cost of his own mortality.
