Probably the first in a couple of stories playing with this AU idea. Because dealing with Aizen's megalomaniacal bullshit isn't enough.

Aizawa Shouta is an alpha Prime, and that is an issue. In a world where beta Primes are the leaders, betas the average, omegas the mother hens, and alphas the well-meaning muscle, being either omega Prime or alpha Prime is rare. Rare enough to warrant the Department of Prime Health and Protection being formed, since their needs were so specific. Both required pack to be healthy, but unlike an omega Prime Shouta's kind is harder to get along with. At 32 he's still under the care of the Department, who try valiantly to find him a pack only to have it crumble each time. Shouta is sure pack UA427 will let him go too.

Except Noya develops a bit more than friendly feelings for the other man, which is a problem given that Noya is only sixteen to Asahi's 20. Still, the tension was bound to burst eventually...
