    The last thing he remembers is leaving school. It was a half day, as he’d finished his exams early, texted May about staying over at Ned’s place, sent another text to MJ and then a twitch of his spider senses--

    Then a pinch at his neck, like a bee sting, but deeper. Darkness. Then here.

    Huh. Kidnapped. That’s new. If he was less emotionally dead from finals and sleep deprivation, he’d probably have a stronger and much more appropriate reaction to that.

    At least he's got Captain America and the Winter Soldier to keep him company.

    Homecoming AU.

    Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.

    So he leaves.

    Simple.

    Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. So they strike a deal. Peter will help Tony. In return, the mask stays on.

    And that’s when things get complicated.

    MJ still remembers Ned’s initial disbelief when Peter—infamous for missing class back in sophomore year, suspended for two weeks freshman year—finished his bit of the group write-up four days early. The work was perfect, and so was Ned's chemistry grade. After that it was Peter this, Peter that, Peter parted the Red Sea, it’s true, MJ, I was there; I saw it. MJ, hey, are you listening?

    Then Ned says, “We should invite Peter to join AcaDec.”

    peter isn’t rock bottom on midtown’s social ladder; he’s underground. friendless, rumoured to get into street fights. ned declares him bestie material anyway, and mj catches feelings.

    she also meets tony stark(?) in foodtown, of all places, and makes a spider-man(??) sighting.

    He was just finishing the formulas and designs that would allow him to carry more web fluid in his canisters when he picked up on the tell-tale sound of the elevator coming up the shaft, and he felt his stomach fall to his feet.

    Not good.

    Moments before the doors slid open, he quickly muted himself and turned his camera feed off and prayed that he was on the last page of students and that Mrs. Warren wouldn’t realize before he could tell whoever it was to fuck off.

    Peter is getting sick of online high school, and needed to sit somewhere other than his bedroom. Either FRIDAY lied or he was just really unlucky. Tony, Sam, Bucky, and Clint shenanigans happen.
