Both of them laugh at the unusual proposal, but their faces shine with happiness. And Cellbit feels like this is the best choice he has ever made in his life.
Suddenly, a donut is placed in his free hand, and when he turns around, Felps is there, smiling at him as he suggests this as a temporary ring for them.
Roier laughed at the suggestion, but he didn't say anything when Cellbit slowly placed the donut hole in his ring finger, just like how you would with a real ring, and both of them couldn't help but giggle at the exchange, and maybe from their newfound happiness as well.

Ewron leaned an inch too far over the side of the boat, just enough for his wet boots to lose traction on the damp wood. “Shit–”
He tried to catch himself, arms flailing for balance, before he toppled over the side and hit the water with a loud, chaotic splash.
“Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me,” Ash muttered. Then, without hesitation, he dove in after him, cutting through the cold, churning water.
OR,
During one of Ewron and Ash’s usual boat meetings, Ewron accidentally injures himself, leaving him bedbound under Ash’s care.
Ash would be a fool not to take advantage of the situation and make fun of the clumsy red panda hybrid.

“Wings.” Ewron exhales softly, expression going slack.
Two crescent moons (more crater than lunar dust). Stunted. Weighted down by neglect. Ewron can’t tell which bird they’re corresponding to, but the murky black pinions sit huddled between Ash’s shoulderblades like a narrow valley.
“Wings,” Ash says it through his teeth, as though admitting to a nasty, untreated wound. But they’re incredible—like a siren or an angel—Ewron can’t decide, not when his hands are already searching for a bucket. “I could never reach them. They’re kind of. A mess, now.”

Summary
"Ash, are you completely insane?!"
The words carried anger, but something else too, an emotion that Ash couldn't quite identify. Ewroon suddenly tried to sit up, only to grimace immediately. His ears flattened against his head, his tail lashed nervously across the blankets.
"What the hell were you thinking? You can't make a decision like that on your own!"
Or, Ash is in the federation prison and Ewroon has a plan to get him out of there, but things take a wrong turn and Ash has to find a way to save his dear assassin.
