Simon appears on Grace’s ship, they meet VERY ugly, Simon’s trying to believe that he is in fact safe and free. He’s totally not so guilty that he’ll start crying if he thinks about the implications of his survival for too long, and he’s 100% not wondering if he even counts as a real person at all anymore. (But Grace doesn’t need to know that..)
Also Grace is highkey a monsterlover on the DL.

Summary
After the Quiet Rapture, three factions were left behind. The Keepers of Eden; a nationalistic Martian death cult. The Consolidation of Iron (C.O.I.); a conglomerate of four (now three) space stations and two spacecraft focused on the survival of the human race at all costs. And the Erid Deep-Space Exploratory Colony; a self-sufficient deep space exploratory craft that's new purpose is to learn what happened and thinks Eden and the C.O.I. need to chill the fuck out.
Dr. Grace is a Eridian scientist sent to AT-5 for a status update on the research being done there. On his first night there, he makes contact with the SM-13 and meets Simon who proposes a new theory of what happened. What if it was just a few stations that went missing and not the whole universe?

Summary
Simon wakes up in an unknown place with the scars of his previous life etched onto his skin. As he struggles to pull himself into focus, and listen to the angel living here who's spouting off information, he realizes that the C.O.I. and Eden can no longer reach him. As Simon attempts to get used to his new appearance from his time in the submarine and understand the man guiding him through this new life, Simon realizes that he may have a bigger problem to deal with. The pain from his injuries is manageable, it's the newfound knot in his stomach that's confusing. While Grace is focused on how Simon even ended up on Erid in the first place, Simon spends his time focused on a much brighter, more bubbly individual...
