Summary
After returning from the Realm of Darkness, it's becoming very clear that Ventus probably shouldn't have gone there.
Not only is he struggling with his lost memories, his internal darkness, but also his past and his true identity, but now he's threatened by two of the Guardians' old enemies who now appear to have several unfathomably powerful Keyblade wielders under command.
Regardless, Ven's friends will do anything to keep him safe.-----------------
Finally, after being separated from decades - centuries, scattered all across space and time, the Union Leaders are back. Hearts restored, memories recovered, and Keyblades in hand, there's only one thing moving.
One leader who is still amnesiac, still missing his real Keyblade, and is still lost. And also happens to be stuck with the single most arrogant, block-headed key slingers the Union Leaders have ever seen.
Doesn't matter if they're the "good guys" here.
Nothing will keep Lauriam, Ephemer, Skuld, and Brain from getting back their friend(OR: Ventus is getting his memories back, and his old friends want their little brother back, but that puts them at odds with the Guardians of Light.)

Summary
The Kingdom Hearts cast ported into a modern AU where Sora, Roxas, Ven, and Vanitas are 2 sets of twins that make up a quadruplet. And Sora, Xion, Ven and Roxas have all had open heart surgery where Sora donated pieces of his hart to the other three because of a rare heart condition.
Different aspects of the games are then adapted to this setting.More of a collection of concepts than an actual story.

1- Barret meets Cloud for the first time in Midgar, and quickly realizes something's not quite right with him.
2- Aerith is the only one who can heal Cloud's severe injury, but at what cost?
3- Cait Sith will try everything he can think of to cheer up a very stressed Cloud and solve the mystery behind his dour mood.
4- Red XIII, now Nanaki, discovers that he and Cloud share some familial troubles, but the latter is struggling to move on.
5- Cid and Cloud get stranded in the snowfields. They need to work together if they want to make it out alive.
6- Vincent finds Cloud grappling with his newly regained memories. The impossible is done as two silent knights learn to talk.

Cloud is a renowned organist who starts receiving little paper swans in the mail...then at work. They start out harmless, but get weird fast, and the police won't help because the stalker hasn't actually threatened him or shown his face, so Cloud's very hot friend puts his foot down and hires Cloud a bodyguard. Maybe that'll scare the stalker off.
Or
Beefa Bodyguard AU where Tifa protects Cloud from Sephiroth so Cloud can spend his time staring into Zack's big puppy eyes or practicing.

But what is an ADHD Princess, an Amnesiac Infantry man, and a formerly sheltered/mostly homeless child meant to do about the situations they collectively know nothing about.
Apparently, the answer is to make friends and make dumb decisions.

Cloud stands in the ashes of two dead worlds and breaks. Even with Sephiroth finally dead, there's no victory. There's nothing but a shattered man in a ten-year-old's body. Still, he can't die yet. He has to repay as much of his debt as he can. Becoming a weapon to protect the weak is easier than being a person, anyway.
It's really too bad that so many people end up disagreeing with him about what he's good for.

It takes everything the planet has to reach back, to change something; just one thing, one small thing, one hope to change the path of the world completely. It drains the planet of the last of it’s will, but it works.
1989: Nebelheim, Western Continent; Ada Strife enters ShinRa’s Yule Relief Contest when once she'd ignored it. And wins. It changes Cloud Strife's life completely.
AKA: President Shinra is a slut and inadvertently saves the world, Rufus just wants his baby brother to be successful, Cloud is still determined to be a SOLDIER, and Vincent has no idea who thought it was a good idea to put so many maladjusted children in charge of everything.
