And then, almost scaring him back into unconsciousness, the person stops right beside him before abruptly hovering into his view. They peer into his face with a casual curiosity that causes Rudo’s rising anxiety to stop in its tracks.
The first thing he notices is the long, messy tendrils of hair almost touching his face, black and long with orange accents. And slowly, he trails his eyes up the strands, to the small face framed by those long locks of hair.
When he first heard those heavy feet coming towards him, he had assumed it was some grown man entering the room.
Instead, it is a girl just around his age looking back at him.

Besides, their fearless team leader is busy training the new kid! No reason to bother the guy with petty bullshit from years ago. He's got too many responsibilities as-is, and honestly, Enjin probably wouldn’t even care so there's no actual point in saying—
Then Rudo finds out.
Rudo, who can barely keep his emotions in check, let alone a fucking secret.

So when he wants to see Zanka laughing his head off without a care in the world, he decides the new toxin he's come across is perfect for their next fight.

Tim's dad is dead, killed by a boomerang to the chest, and Tim is an orphan now. “Todd,” Damian calls and when he gets no answer from Jason, he whimpers, “Drake.”
“I can't believe I'm saying this but he’s breaking my heart, dude."
“Shut up, don’t give in. It’s a trap.” Jason says. “It’s a trap —”
They lose both the battle and the war when Damian stops waiting for them and instead stumbles forward, almost drunkenly, and unceremoniously flops himself on Jason’s front, full-on crying against his chest.
“Jesus fuck, Baby-bat. Who do I have to kill?”
(Or the one where Jason and Tim come to the Manor on the early hours of the day after a long night of patrol and they find weird new kind of life form out of this world that cries with snot and all inside the Manor. It takes them some time, because they are both dumbasses, to convince themselves that's actually their little brother crying his eyes out.)

Tim didn't want to be here. Metropolis was too sunny, and being kidnapped really got in the way of being Robin. Now he had to pretend to be a totally normal civilian while figuring out how to save this feral teenager and himself without blowing his cover.
