Summary
The bear does not follow Marcus home. Once he caught it trying to mosey onto the El with him - a fucking three hundred pound grizzly, moving like a raccoon, skulking in the shadows almost all the way to the stop. He said, "No way, man," and the bear whuffed, huge, rank, rotten-salmon breath slamming into him like one of those guys at Wake Forest, and he thought, okay, okay, maybe this, maybe now, with those great claws in his shoulders, with those enormous teeth pressed up against his cheek.

Summary
“You had my baby?” Superman asks, tilting in the air and still staring at Experiment Thirteen, as if he's somehow forgotten both how much kryptonite Lex owns and how much kryptonite he keeps specifically in this office. “While I was dead. You had my baby while I was dead.”
. . . alright then, Lex thinks again, both eyebrows raising this time.
“I really wouldn’t put it that way, personally,” he says. “Also, I don’t recall saying it was in any way yours.”

Summary
Alfred stares at him. It’s in the same way he does when Bruce has not taken off the suit in three days. Bruce doesn’t think this is at all warranting that level of judgement or concern.
“Oh?” Alfred says, after a good ten seconds. “May I enquire why, sir?”
“B’s being a petty bitch,” Dick informs him, appearing behind Bruce’s legs.
“Language,” Bruce says on instinct. “There’s a baking sale. And Dick’s stall will win.”
“I did not realise bake sales were a competitive sport,” Alfred says.
“Tell that to Candace Pearson-Scott,” Bruce says.

as a wise man once said, if you don't think Bruce Wayne's greatest nemesis isn't the Joker, but the fakest housewife in the Batkids PTA chapter, I don't know what to tell you.
