Summary
After seeing Zack's progress on helping a broken rescue Alpha, Cloud becomes curious about rescuing and owning an Alpha. The moment he voices his curiosity, Zack takes him to a Pound and Cloud meets a very pretty and very broken Alpha. Is he able to help his new Alpha like Zack was able to help Angeal or is he just going to make things worse?
TL;DR: Instead of all those Omegaverse fics that deal with a broken Omega Cloud, it's Alpha Sephiroth who is broken instead.

Summary
Cloud and Sephiroth are deeply connected from birth as "Hokano", a concept that science cannot explain. Despite the struggles it creates for Cloud as he grows up, Sephiroth has no desire to ever meet. Even when they are inadvertently drawn together through a mission for Shinra, neither truly knows who the other is. An uneasy friendship forms between them before the events of Nibelheim tear it all apart, and Cloud gives Sephiroth a terrible choice, daring him to tempt fate.

How could he ever summon the mental capacities to describe the blessed gift of Cloud’s smile, his cerulean gaze, his aura, his everything? The trooper who looked upon him with tenderness– not condemnation, not cowardice, just pure acceptance and joy at his simple presence.
Sephiroth was a weapon, equipped to attack but not to attract others to him. The fear of scaring away or weirding out the trooper paralyzed him. Worse, he had no way to determine his sudden affliction, or why Cloud aroused such perplexing feelings in him.
Whatever it was, he had to find out.
~Loosely inspired by the Ancient Greek myth of Zeus and Ganymede, in which Zeus experiences ~gay panic~ and 'logically' kidnaps Ganymede to become his cupbearer.
