The corner of Techno's mouth twitches downwards, indicating that he's got the meaning behind the words. He himself was probably the first person to notice how he's been changing lately.
"Can we talk somewhere more private?" he asks, looking around like there might be eyes on them. Wilbur doesn't feel them, but it was always hard for him to guess when people spot him, since he can turn mostly transparent. Still, he nods and allows Techno to lead them out of the building.

Techno barked and immediately started bucking, trying to dislodge Phil from his back. Head reaching back until he got his teeth on Phil’s leg and shook. Phil used his free leg to kick Techno on the nose. A surprise yelp left wolf, the vampire yanking his leg free to pause long enough to make sure he hadn’t kicked Techno’s nose too hard.The wolf shaking his head and rubbing a paw on his nose. Techno grumbled. The had hurt. And a cringe move going for the nose on Phil’s part.
With a warning growl Techno looked around and found a large rock just the size of Phil’s head and picked it up with his mouth before charging the vampire again. Barreling himself into Phil, the two of them wrestling on the ground. “Oi!” Phil said, not even winded, dead lungs not needing air like Techno’s did. He paused in confusion. “What’s with the rock?” He asked.
Techno finally had the Vampire pinned beneath him and in answer dropped the rock on Phil’s face.(This is a short story connected to my Series call A Wolfs Called the Blood God

Afterwards it felt like pulsing coals against his skin; a never-ending throb of burning pain that pulled and demanded his attention. Nathaniel had grown used to pain over the years. He was able to keep quiet when his father or one of his friends put their blades to his skin. Nathaniel had gotten used to preparing himself for pain whenever he saw his father or Lola in particular.
Maybe that was why the pain felt so much worse this time.
