"We're putting together a small team," a nameless higher up had explained to Piers over the phone. "Highly trained individuals with their own special skill sets to contribute to the research of the disease that compromised the station at the South Pole. We want you there by the beginning of March."

To most, the wind was unpredictable. Sometimes, it was an ally, letting sailors go by without so much as a complaint. Other times, though, it was dangerous. It destroyed towns, it destroyed homes.
It tore apart families, leaving those left behind mourning.
It really just depended on how the Wind Gods felt that day. They, or more specifically, Cyclos, didn't care for their pleas.
There's an important part to the first sentence. "To most". This boy, the young Wind Waker, Hero of Winds; the Gods favored him, one could say. And so, he didn't fear the wind. The wind protected him, after all. It was his guardian.

Summary
Dragons.
There are many kinds of dragons and they can be found almost everywhere. In the skies, the oceans, even digging through your trash.
While running for his life, Link stumbles across a baby dragon about his age. Taking her with him, he gains his best friend.
A mysterious portal sends Link and his dragon companion to the past just when things were calming down again. With no other choice, they have to team up with Dragon Whisperers from across the timeline to get to the bottom of things.
Aka: I got inspired by my favorite movie trilogy and gave everyone in the chain dragons. (The types are based off of that one chart from I think Reddit. If ykyk) Then I did too much character and world building to not turn it into a fic.

Hyrule knows how volatile the weather is in Wild's time. He knows it could go from sunny to storming in a blink of the eye, then dry up twenty minutes later. Rain and lightning were unpredictable and all of the heroes had been warned multiple times to watch the skies.
But Hyrule is, apparently, too dumb to remember to look up occasionally when he walks off to explore.

Now, it seems the Goddesses have more in store for him as he is dragged through a portal without warning to a Hyrule at war. There he meets other Heroes of Courage, and several other faces that vary in familiarity. But his own adventures weigh heavy in his mind and keep a significant boundary between him and the people he could easily call family. As the war wages on, he struggles to figure out what he wants with his life as the end of the war and the inevitable return to his own time looms ever closer. All the while, his own secrets get heavier, and those who care about him get more and more worried for his wellbeing.
