Summary
If you asked Wei Wuxian when his house became the safe place for all of A-Yuan’s friends, Wei Wuxian wouldn’t be able to tell you. Perhaps, he might muse, it was in A-Yuan’s seventh grade year, the same night Jingyi was first hit by his father. That night, Jingyi had run to Wei Wuxian’s house, the only place he could think to go after sprinting from his house, holding his cheek. Wei Wuxian had held the boy all night, drying his tears and soothing his distress. From then on, it seemed like one of A-Yuan’s friends were always at his home.
Regardless of when, it had long since been established as the one place anyone could go for a breather. Their presence was never questioned, and fresh clothes were always shoved into their arms as they were directed to the bathroom. Snacks that Wei Wuxian knew he would never, ever put into his mouth were put on the shopping list, and the kids were always fed a warm meal and as many snacks as they wanted. Shopping days were on Wednesdays, so the house was usually busiest on Thursdays.

Summary
Fate was a fickle thing. It did not appreciate being taunted or twisted. It liked to do as it pleased without pesky humans-- or other creatures-- interfering with its fun. It took kindly to fae folk and their playful nature, and it appreciate a reaper’s dedication to fate’s decisions. It did not, however, take kindly to malicious humans trying to bend Fate’s will for themselves. It was like the wind that caressed flushed cheeks with soft fingers, enjoying the blush under its graze. It was like the wind that demolished and lacerated buildings in a swift, torrential anger, hurt by the actions around it.
Vampires (if wise, if old) had long since stopped trying to play with Fate. Nothing ever changed. It was better to ask and plead, for Fate was a vain, obsessive creature and loved to watch mighty creatures put aside their conceit and humble themselves. Fate would talk to some, so long as Fate liked them. It was rare, so very rare, but not quite a myth-- tales of Fate coming to creatures and speaking with them, asking their thoughts on decision. Very few were so lucky. Very few were liked. And that was a very, very dangerous game.
Or; Fate adores Bang Chan and gives him a family.

Summary
Jaemin’s pupils were dilated, eyes blown wide, as his entire body shook and shied away from Donghyuck’s voice like a frightened animal. Jaemin pulled himself out of Donghyuck’s grip, racing towards the exit to push his feet into the nearest set of shoes and then out the door. Donghyuck hurried out after him, left shoe half way on as he hopped out the door, following Jaemin’s shadow rushing down the back stairwell.
Alternatively;
Jaemin has anxiety, and Donghyuck just wants to help. A car ride and getting high ensues. -

Summary
There is something quite funny about vampires. See, vampires mate for life, those bloodthirsty beasts, as though they were Antarctic penguins and not a loose cannon. (There is something quite funny about humans-- they think anything that is not them is a threat, a loose cannon.)
There is something even funnier about the fates that formed soulmates. The fates didn’t care for propriety or politics or social acceptance. The fates bonded, took a part of you, aching and gaping, when a soulmate was rejected.
There is something a bit funny, a bit sad, about the current political situation. As much as one may fight against the notion of “loose cannons” as a title for vampires, there was corruption. There had been corruption long before the War, and there was still corruption now, after the War. Regulations were in place for Donator/Donatee relations, but no enforcers cared-- they were paid if they enforced, they were paid better if they didn’t.
Perhaps, the corruption wasn’t even a bit funny and far more than a bit sad. But, the story need not stay so sad.

Summary
If there is a will, there is a way.
That is a very loose concept, which too many entrepreneurs have solidified as a personal motto. The law is a simple tool for superficial control, while order is but a wet dream of every middle-class citizen, scraping by at the feet of the big corps until the Holy Day of Retirement.
This job may not be the greatest, but it pays well. Just three to five more years of this corporate bullshit and he’d be free to fuck off to any tiny private island of his choosing.
For all the colourful crap Na Jaemin has to wade through Lee Jeno pays more than enough.

Summary
Lee Jeno swore a sacred vow the day he became Prince Na Jaemin’s personal guard: his life, his body, his heart, all in service of his Prince. The magic in that vow punishes him every time he dares to think of putting his own desires first.
Which is a problem, because on Jaemin’s eighteenth birthday, Jeno’s fated mate mark burns; perfectly identical to the one glowing on Jaemin’s chest.
Jaemin is left to believe his fated mate is somewhere out there, while the one person who makes his mark warm is “just” his overprotective, infuriatingly charming bodyguard. Jeno hides his mark under bandages and steel, choosing duty over destiny.

Summary
Jaemin’ life is full of struggles. Working a full time job as a photographer and raising a toddler on his own - is it even possible to find the perfect balance between these two things? Day by day he’s feeling more and more shameful for relying on his friends’ helping hands too much. He regrets missing out on every precious moment he should’ve been experiencing with Yuna, but he wasn’t there. Lee Jeno appears in their life rather unexpectedly after Donhyuck’s suggestion to hire him as a babysitter. It seems like his presence brings solutions to many problems in Jaemin’s life that suddenly start to solve on their own. Sometimes one smile is enough.
Maybe with Jeno by his side, Jaemin won’t have to keep fighting his demons on his own and maybe, just maybe his endless cups of cold coffee will finally be replaced with some warmth in his life.
