    Summary

He unexpectedly turned as he closed the door and caught Daphne observing him. Their eyes met, she blushed in embarrassment, and—

Every time he smiled, really smiled with his whole face, the world around him seemed to dim in comparison. He made her want to take up painting again. Or pastels, or any of the other art forms she’d left behind when she graduated from RISD and started her first bookmaking apprenticeship. She’d never felt compelled to make representational art, but Gale Dekarios in the full bloom of joy was absolutely worth representing.

In which tiny, remote Icepeak College mysteriously hires a massively overqualified antiquities scholar in the middle of term, and its book arts workshop director finds herself inexorably pulled into his orbit. In her defense, he's really fucking hot.

    Summary

Astarion turned to leave when Raphael spoke. “Yes, my dear Vampire Ascendant, you did vex me greatly throughout this deal, and I’d have slaughtered you for it were it not for the possibility of this exact outcome. You delivered to me my reign, and I will not forget it. Besides, you should be proud—you went against a devil and negotiated the most balanced contract I believe has ever been created in the history of the hells. Really, you thought of ALMOST everything.”

    Astarion froze.

Raphael laughed. “Don’t worry, little vampire, you’ll get your beloved back, and you’ll have the opportunity to make her fall in love with you again. I will deliver everything that was promised. But my dear Astarion, you forgot one thing…you didn’t say when….”

Astarion turned with a snarl, but before he could take a single step, he had been transported out of the House of Hope in a haze of brimstone, and the last he heard of Raphael was the devil’s devious laughter.

    Summary

Tara flew to his shoulder and gazed down with him, taking in the scene.
“Do you see it?” he whispered. “What…”
“I see it.” She rubbed her cheek against his, her tail curling around his hunched shoulders.
    “What does it mean?”
“It means hope, Gale. It means something real.”

Gale is a divination wizard, but a mere shadow of his former glory.

Aoife is an Oath of the Ancients paladin, haunted by the grief of her past.

A year after their fateful first meeting Aoife's path crosses the Wizard of Waterdeep's once more. But as the two are drawn together, Gale's misfortune with the orb and Aoife's long-held sorrow aren't the only dark shadows cast upon them by the past, and soon their fates become as entangled as the threads of the Weave.

    Summary

“I will give you a tenday to convince your love to relinquish his Ascension. If, in that time, he agrees to the terms and nullifies his contract, you both regain possession of the seven thousand souls and gift them to me.

“If, after ten days, Astarion does not agree…” Raphael reaches forward, his hand outstretched to you. “...you pledge your soul to me. Forever.”

    Summary

Getting abducted by squids and infected with a Mind Flayer parasite was never part of Visenya’s plan to steal the Annals of Karsus for her client. Yet, as a dhampir with a traumatic past and sanguine hunger, she's no stranger to life chasing you with torches and pitchforks. Fortunately, she finds an unexpected ally in Astarion, who understands the struggle for autonomy and identity and her bloody world.

Join Visenya, Astarion, and the tadfools as they confront the horrors of Faerûn: Dark Urges, cults, and their own inner demons. Amidst the chaos, romance blossoms, friendships are forged, and morals collide in this epic slow-burn tale.

Will Visenya find love, acceptance, and her place in a world that fears her? Or will she succumb to the darkness within? Embark on this journey of adventure, self-discovery, and love as Visenya learns that sometimes, embracing your inner monster is the key to finding where you truly belong.

The title is borrowed from Hozier's song of the same name.

Larian owns everything, including my soul (does that make me a Warlock?…). Any resemblance between this and other works and/or real people is coincidental.
