Summary
Purple has never quite recovered from Red's betrayal after the reactor disaster. Their dismissal from MIRA left them broke and struggling for employment, so when Red appeared on their doorstep to offer them a job at the Skeld, they have little choice but to accept.
But being on the Skeld doesn't mean that Purple has forgiven Red. In fact, they go out of their way to avoid any interaction and lock themselves in the security room for hours on end.
Seeing no other (rational) option, Red comes up with a deluded plan in an attempt to get Purple to talk to them. But will it work? Or will it only deepen the chasm that already mars their relationship?
