“Listen… I know it’s been a long day, and you guys all probably just want to go to bed, but all of us in the hyung line have agreed that it’s gotten to the point where we just can’t ignore it anymore. I think it’s time we address…” Namjoon held his breath for a moment. “...Jimin and Jungkook.”
“Me and Jungkook?” Jimin widened his eyes in confusion.
“Are you guys fucking or not?” Yoongi interrupted, calm as ever in his bluntness, probably knowing the effect his words would have on the room but unable to care any less. “Seriously, it’s been, like, years. And don’t act like the tension’s not there, because we can all feel it.”
“We’re not fucking,” Jungkook managed to blurt out finally, trying to mask his nerves with conviction. Trying to seem assured in the truth, which was that him and Jimin were just friends, even if that hadn’t always been true.
At least, not for Jungkook.

Jeongguk’s eyes search the room to mirror the way his mind searches for a plausible answer, gaze landing on the bright vermillion color of Jimin’s shirt, long blond hair lit up almost as much as the smile on his plump lips.
“Park Jimin.”
OR
Jeongguk's mother won't stop trying to set him up with people, despite Jeongguk not being the least bit interested. The only way to get her to stop is to lie.

He says it like a compliment, with just the right amount of awe to appeal to anyone's ego, though when he looks back, Park Jimin does not appear swayed.
"I have to be. I'm a figure skater," he responds, putting emphasis on his title.
"Hockey isn't so different, you know. Speed is important as well. I just thought that, maybe, if you had some tips, you could give a few pointers. Perhaps a demonstration, if possible."
Jimin still doesn't seem convinced.

"Okay, very good punch, Namjoon, but remember that hitting your opponent on purpose will get you a conduct penalty," Seokjin says dryly after Namjoon's volley comes straight for his face for the third time.
"Sorry! I don't…I'm not aiming!" Namjoon says desperately.
"Perhaps…you could try to aim, then?" Seokjin suggests, to resounding giggles from the kids.
Namjoon nods resolutely as he returns to the back of the line. But his next volley still goes right at Seokjin, who is increasingly grateful he went with the foam balls.
