“rest of the space is yours, picasso.” he gestured to the bed. his music was still blaring from the speaker and now there was the horrifying scrape of boxes across linoleum to accompany it, “what’s your medium? charcoal, paints…?” he drifted off, clearly unable to name another medium of art, “...crayon?”
will shoved his bedsheets into each corner of his mattress, barely looking up, “silence. try it out sometime."
the music paused shortly after.

Summary

“You’re gonna get hurt,” he says quietly, processing. He meets Mike’s eyes, briefly, then quickly refocuses his gaze on the forest surrounding him. He can’t look at Mike for too long, not now, not like this. Not when every minute he spends with him could be the last. “We can’t protect you here.”

He never stopped thinking about it. The possession thing.
No, in fact, since it happened he thinks about it more every day. His eyes burn holes into Will, imagining him press his limbs into Mike. Closer, closer until there's no space between them. Until Will can feel what Mike feels. Until he isn't sure where Mike ends and Will begins.
In his peripheral, the kitchen light flickers. He wonders if Will thinks about it too.
Or; Mike wants Will to possess him again, and Will wants Mike to love himself

Mike's jaw drops and he sits up to face where Will (assumedly) is, “You’re haunting me?”
“I guess?” Mike can imagine Will looking off to the side, scratching his cheek self-consciously.
He places his hands on Will’s shoulders, turning the other to look at him. He definitely looks stupid – his eyes closed while simultaneously trying to stare at Will intently.
“So you’ve been following me around this whole year?”
“Um. Yes?”
He groans, pressing the heels of his palms to his eyes. “Holy shit.”
“Holy shit.” Will echoes.
Or; Mike struggles with wanting things he can never have - like Will back alive. Even after he gets it, he still wants more.
