Summary
“It’s healing really well.” Katara tells him with a smile, before her lips quirk down into a frown. “Though it’ll still scar pretty bad.”
Zuko shrugs. “It’s ok. I doubt people will really focus on it anyway… the one on my face is a bit more prominent.”
Katara makes a face, like she’s not quite sure if she should laugh or frown, when Toph speaks up.
“You have a scar on your face?” Toph asks, sitting up so she’s sitting by his legs rather than lying on them.
Zuko blinks. He never quite forgets that Toph is blind, but the fact that she can’t see his scar never really occurred to him.
“Oh, yeah.” Zuko looks down at his lap. “My father burned like, half my face off before I was banished.” He says it a little too casually, probably not bitterly enough.
A crash next to him makes him look up, to see Katara's horrified expression, and a shattered bowl of water at her feet.
No one says anything for a long moment.
“Zuko… it- your dad?” Katara finally manages to gasp out. Zuko blinks at her, his brain moving slowly.
“You didn’t know?” He asks in genuine surprise.
“No.” Sokka wheezes.
Zuko blinks at him. “Oh.” Is all he can manage to say.

She misses them.
Sometimes, she finds herself glancing from side to side as she eats, keeping a watchful eye out for Luffy’s wandering hands, now islands away. She thinks of a story, and starts considering how she’d tell Chopper about it. She finds a trinket and wants to show it to Usopp, wants to take a quiet moment on the deck and relax next to Zoro, wants to hear Sanji ramble on about his dream. She wants to talk to Nami about the islands she’s seen and learned about and mapped. She wants-
She wants to see them again.

Summary
Sanji pulls his thumb from his mouth to run it under the water. It’s freezing and his thumb stings awfully as he holds it there. The cut is deeper than he thought. Maybe worth a visit to Chopper. That will put his dinner plans on hold until whatever needs to happen happens; be it glue or stitches or a higher grade bandage than what Sanji keeps inside his kitchen.
His blood runs cold as he realises that he isn’t as bothered by all of this as he ought to be.

After disposing of the raid suit, Sanji starts to spiral as he worries that he is turning into something he desperately wants not to be. In an effort not to let Sora's sacrifice be in vain, he battles with himself and denial while trying to hide his concerns from a crew who know him well enough to see when he is not as okay as he pretends to be.

Summary
During Whole Cake Island, Judge forced Sanji to go through an operation in order to “fix” his failure. The success of the operation caused Sanji to gradually lose his emotions and free will until there was nothing left. His only purpose now is to be Luffy’s perfect soldier.
After Onigashima, the crew discovers the truth behind Sanji’s strange behaviour and is determined to save him.
Or
Sanji loses his emotions, but he has his crew who, of course, want to save him.

Summary
“Luffy-ya.” Law repeats, pushing down the embarrassment that comes along with the next words. Luffy pauses in his questions, sensing the urgency in Law’s tone. “I need you to pick me up.”
Silence. Law takes a moment, prepared to say it again when he’s cut off by the loudest laugh through the speaker of the snail. Luffy cackles, loud and squeaky as he smacks his knee with his hands. He hears a few other Strawhat’s join in, and his face flushes a bright red.
“Assholes, the lot of you.”
“Don’t worry Torao!” Zoro laughs, cooing as he speaks. “Captain will come get you.”
Law’s eye twitches and he glares at the transponder snail. “Shut the fuck up, Zoro-ya.”
Basically, after his fight with Blackbeard, Law and Bepo stumble upon Shanks and his crew; unintentionally. Avoiding death again, Law convinces him to let him borrow a snail to call someone to pick him up.
To the amusement of Shanks, it just to happens to be the Strawhat Pirates.

It’s hard to know when the first time was, because there was so much going on and it’s not like Sanji hadn’t clawed his way back from certain death before. Later, Chopper will insist that several of those bullets should have struck him dead and Jinbei will be sure that no one could survive a fire like that and Usopp swears he saw a whole building come down on their cook — but then they will all later concede that, actually, they had seen Sanji survive all of those things before, so the whole thing was all still up in the air.

A story concentrating on how Sanji's life would be if he met the Straw-hats much later in life. No pairings. Nakamanship. Heavy on the relationship between Zoro and Sanji. Two-shot.
