Mu Qing didn’t know the girl’s name, but she knew who she was. She didn’t know how, but somehow this girl had managed to get her hands on the uniform pants from the boys branch of the school, and she got away with wearing them. She had maybe seen her wear her actual uniform once, and that was presumably because she must have forgotten to do her laundry. Ordinarily, Mu Qing would just roll her eyes and say nothing, but she was in a mood considering she hadn’t been allowed to keep her hat on but this girl could freely break dress code every single day.
Before she could even open her mouth, the girl spoke to her instead. “You’re Mu Qing, right?” She didn’t really wait for her to answer, which made the question rhetorical because she clearly already knew she was Mu Qing. She held out her hand, and Mu Qing just stared at it. “I’m Feng Xin.”
