(About) half of the fics will feature a human Alastor; the other half star his demon form. Reader is established as wed to Alastor (stories take place from ~1918 and beyond) & can be a charming demon belle or beau, whatever you fancy! Each story is exactly 500, 600, 700, or 800 words of short and syrupy sweetness. <3 Fluffy caretaking dynamics & soft romance.
Each story takes inspiration from a Sicktember 2025 prompt (yes– I am aware that it is neither September nor 2025. I live in my own world!) A new story will be posted every day in June; tags will be updated & added as needed.

Aged 19 and 18, both Michael Wheeler and William Byers reside in a small hamlet trailing the edge of a dirty river. They love each other, but that love cannot be.
"I don't know how to feel," Will says. His voice is quiet; they both are. Neither of them are mad at each other. They never were. They were both just so nervous. "I should be,” he laughs, but there is no humor in it, "—Happy, I mean. I shouldn't feel whatever this is. This nausea.”
There isn’t anything Mike can say to console him that Will would not twist into something else he finds negative, so he rubs his back with more force, grounding him with his hands, rubbing his palms over the blades of his shoulders and the muscle of his neck. It’s a few steps short of a bear-hug. Both of their heartbeats are rapid, but they show distress completely differently.
“…Is the decision truly, really final?” Mike asks, his voice dropping to a sharp whisper. "Can't we do anything?"
A pause grows between them, so pregnant and fat, so chock full of hopelessness that its ankles swell with blood.
“As final as final gets.”
